No. The score is a prediction about you, never a judgement of quality. An excellent product can honestly score 3 if it clashes with your taste, and the everyday thing you love can score 9. The same chocolate can be a 9 for you and a 3 for someone else.
You start with a short setup about what you like and what you cannot or will not eat. After that, quick questions about individual foods and your ratings of things you actually tried make the predictions more personal. Your taste portrait, the picture Taste10 has of your palate, changes as it learns.
Yes. Photograph a label or a menu, including one in a script you cannot read such as Japanese or Thai, and Taste10 tells you in your language what it is and how well it fits you. On a menu it ranks the dishes that suit you best.
Yes. You tell Taste10 once about your diet and allergies, and every scan is checked against them, separately from taste. If something does not fit, you see a warning above the score. Taste10 reads what it can see and says how sure it is. That is a helpful first check, not a guarantee: if you have an allergy, always check the real label or ask the staff.
Anything to eat or drink: a packaged product, a drink, a dish on your plate, a shelf with several products, or a restaurant menu. You can take up to three photos at once, for example the front of a pack and its ingredient list, or several pages of one menu.
The app itself is in English and German. What you photograph can be in almost any language: Taste10 reads labels and menus in other languages and scripts, such as Japanese, Thai or Greek, and tells you in your app language what they say and how well they fit you.
